Corning Museum of Glass

Mrs. Langford and Mrs. Lener took their Science 6-8 class on a festive field trip to the Corning Museum of Glass on December 20th.  The museum was beautiful, all decorated for the holidays!  We took a tour of their many exhibits where we saw glass from 1400 B.C., glass eyeballs, and trees made out of recycled glasses. It was amazing!  We watched a live glass-blowing demonstration where we saw the glassblower make a beautiful platter—right before our eyes!  With the short time left, we were able to make a quick stop in the gift shop to pick up some things to remember the trip.  It was a memorable day for all.
