The McGraw Historical Society was founded in 1969. Over many years, McGraw residents and friends of the village have donated numerous items to the society which are of significance to McGraw's past. The original goal was to collect photos, furniture, family histories, church and school records, and other collectibles relating to the history of the Village. These items along with scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, clothing, and books relating to McGraw, Cortland County and New York State history are just some of the many items which are on display in the new History Room which is located on the 1st floor at the rear of the library. The room is handicapped accessible with two handicap parking spaces near the entryway.

Beginning May 17, 2014 the History Room will be open on Saturdays from 10-noon. The Room is also open on Tuesdays 2-4 pm. The website is:   and the email address is:
