Mrs. Ripley

Angelique Ripley-6th Grade English and Science

Teaching Certification:
Master's of Science in Teaching Grades 1-6

Work Experience:

I started my teaching career in 2013, and I joined the McGraw Central School District in 2019. Prior to coming to McGraw I taught fourth and fifth grade in the Dryden Central School District.  While teaching in Dryden I was an advisor for the Green Team and the elementary Ski Club Advisor.

Life Experience & Interests:
I am originally from New Berlin in Chenango County, where I grew up on a dairy farm.  Growing up on a farm was an experience I truly enjoyed.  It was a great learning experience for me, and  I enjoyed having all of the animals, in particular my three horses.  I attended SUNY Oneonta where I earned my Bachelor's Degree.  While attending SUNY Oneonta I also worked part time as an aide at Pathfiinder Village in Edmeston, NY.  Aside from my current position as a teacher in the McGraw Central School District, that was my favorite job.  I will never forget the experiences I had and lessons I learned while working there.  It was that position that really made me realize how much I wanted to be a teacher, and how much I truly enjoyed helping others.

One of my favorite hobbies from living on a farm was riding horses, which I still enjoy doing but no longer have them.  I competed throughout my  high school career, and I was part of the equestrian team while attending SUNY Oneonta. I love any opportunity to spend time outdoors.  During the winter, I enjoy downhill skiing with my friends.  During the summer, my husband and I always plant a large garden with all kinds of vegetables. I also enjoy cooking/baking with my family.  When I can, I enjoy sitting down with a good book.

My husband is a graduate of McGraw Central School District.  We have two children and a Yorkie-Poodle.
