Welcome to McGraw Vocal Music!

About Mrs. Elia

Madison Elia was born and raised in Canandaigua, NY.  After graduating from
high school, Mrs. Elia attended SUNY Geneseo where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Performance and Piano. After graduating from SUNY Geneseo, Mrs. Elia went on to earn two more degrees from The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. She obtained a Bachelor of Music in Music Education as well as a Master of Music in Music Education with Choral and Special Education concentrations. Mrs. Elia holds New York State Certification in K-12 Music. This is Madison's 2nd year at McGraw! Before coming to McGraw where she teaches Junior Chorus, Senior Chorus, Voice Lessons, Adapted Music, and Show Choir, Mrs. Elia ran a private voice and piano studio out of her home while simultaneously completing two long-term music substitute teaching positions in the Finger Lakes area. Mrs. Elia will also be directing the annual Spring Musical, The Little Mermaid, at McGraw in the Spring of 2023. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Marcus, family and friends, hiking, traveling to new places and baking. Mrs. Elia is thrilled to be working at McGraw, teaching music to the wonderful students, and collaborating with fellow colleagues and staff members.
