McGraw Central School District is conveniently located in Cortland County between Syracuse and Binghamton. The district has two academic buildings and houses approximately 575 students.  Pre-Kindergarten – Grade 5 are situated in the elementary building and Grades 6-12 are in the Middle/High School building. In addition, the district maintains its own transportation department and bus fleet.

Teach English as a New Language (ENL) in a variety of high school settings. Support English Language Learners (ELLs) in content classes, and advocate for their social and emotional needs.  Participate in ongoing curriculum development, which responds to mandates of CR Part 154 and the NYS standards.

Special Education Teacher
 
Certified Position 
Full Time, 10-month position  
 
DUTIES:    Responsible for all aspects of teaching including but not limited to the development and implementation of Next Generation Learning Standards/Curriculum, instruction, assessment, student supervision, home/school communication, etc. Serve as a collegial team member in a dynamic K-6 educational setting. Provide instruction to elementary students with developmental and intellectual delays. Maintain student records consistent with State and Federal regulations. Perform other duties as required. Previous experience working with students with developmental and intellectual disabilities preferred.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities (SWD) Grades 1 - 6 OR K - 12

DUTIES:  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to counseling (individual and group), crisis management, implementing building-wide positive behavior interventions and supports, collaboration with teams and outside agencies, regular communication with families, and other school counselor duties as required.
