McGraw Central School District is conveniently located in Cortland County between Syracuse and Binghamton. The district has two academic buildings and houses approximately 575 students.  Pre-Kindergarten – Grade 5 are situated in the elementary building and Grades 6-12 are in the MS/HS building. In addition, the district maintains its own transportation department and bus fleet.

Art Teacher
in Elementary School
Responsible for all aspects of teaching Visual Arts to PK-6th grade students in a small rural school. Responsible for implementation of Next Generation Learning Standards/Curriculum, instruction, assessment, student supervision, and home/school communication. Serve as a collegial team member attending Staff and Department Meetings once a month. Maintain student records consistent with District, State, and Federal requirements.
 
Job will be rounded out to a full time position by assisting classroom teachers with administering STAR Testing, utilizing AIS/RTI strategies, and supporting students as needed based on their testing results and benchmarks.  Consider use of Art Therapy to assist with Social Emotional Learning and to assist students that have had a difficult time coping during the pandemic.
 
 Valid NYS Certificate in Art, (Dual NYS Certificate in Special Education, Elementary Education, or Reading is preferred.)

Music Teacher

Full Time, 10-month probationary position

McGraw School District prides itself as a forward thinking education institution that values the arts and understands the importance in providing opportunities for students to access, develop, create, and express in a variety of content areas.  Our growing music program offers exceptional resources and support. 

We are looking for you to serve as a collegial team member in our dynamic 6-12 educational setting and will be responsible for all aspects of teaching Music as it relates to the New York State P-12 Learning Standards for the Arts. You will instruct students in grades 6-12 in creating, performing, responding, and connecting to the arts through music. Vocal performance will be the primary responsibility of this teacher.  Experience with musical theater productions and performance will be a plus. 

Responsibilities beyond instruction include, but are not limited to student supervision, home/school communication, arranging for public performances and concerts, maintaining student records consistent with State and Federal regulations, and performing other duties as required.

Seeking 8-12 certified NYS Business Education Teacher to fill a probationary appointment Fall 2021.  The ideal candidate would be working in conjunction with the Business Education Department to plan and implement current curriculum as well as develop courses in computer programming, web page design, computer skills, and business communications.  Educational background in Business/Computer Education and a strong knowledge base in Microsoft Office (utilizing Word, Excel, Access, and Software Presentation programs), web site development and computer programming preferred.
