Welcome, Miss Duma!

Welcome Miss Alexandra Duma to McGraw Elementary!  She will be teaching 4th grade this year.  Miss Duma is a recent graduate of St. John Fisher University in Rochester.  She has worked with fourth graders through her student teaching experience.  She says, “I am very excited to start this new school year!  Fourth grade has been a dream grade for me to teach so I am very excited to be back with 4th grade students!”

Miss Duma hails from Buffalo, NY and is a big Sabres and Bills fan.  In her free time she loves to read, dance, and take her dog, a German Shepherd named Kodiak, on long walks.  She also has taught dance to children since she was in high school.  An interesting fact about Miss Duma is that she has a chinchilla named Lumi, which means "snow" in Estonian.  Miss Duma explains, “My mom is a first generation American from Estonia and thought she looked snowy!”

Welcome to McGraw, Miss Duma!
