Spring Sports From The CCL
The Central Counties League is excited to get our spring sport’s seasons underway. With ever-changing guidelines regarding COVID protocols, we wanted to communicate the current NYS regulations in regards to spring sports spectators. The current outdoor capacity limit is 200 spectators. Given this larger number, we will not be requiring the pass system for spring contests.
With regard to masks and social distancing, the current athletics guideline for spectators is to follow restaurant-type protocols. The wearing of a mask is required unless you are stationary and at least 6 feet from others not in your household. In most of our cases, bleachers will not be available so spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs or a blanket. Regulations also state that for baseball and softball, spectators are not allowed to sit within 12 feet of the dugouts or within 6 feet of a perimeter fence.
We appreciate your cooperation in following these basic guidelines. Adherence to these expectations should allow us to continue taking steps towards a return to “normal.” Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can all have a great time outside watching our student-athletes participate in something they enjoy.
Thank you very much for your continued support and understanding!
