Letters of Gratitude

For several weeks, sixth grade classes have talked about gratitude and acts of kindness as part of the Positivity Project.  While discussing people, places, and things they are grateful for, they also considered those whom we may not come into contact with directly, but have positively impacted our lives.  The sixth graders wrote letters of gratitude to the members of the Cortland County Sheriff's Department and put together a Law Enforcement Survival Kit with various different goodies.  Sheriff Helms, Officer Testa, and K9 Rhett were asked to visit in order to present them with the letters and survival kit.  The classes were also able learn more about the work and training they do each day.
