Eaglets in the Wild

Pre-K 4 has started the year strong with our new "Eaglets in the Wild" curriculum supplement. Students spend their mornings in the great outdoors learning vital skills including resiliency, situational awareness, confidence, teamwork, and stamina. Our youngest learners are already gaining proficiency in fine and gross motor abilities as well as problem solving and critical thinking skills. Their imagination and creativity has been fueled by many dramatic play scenarios (using only the elements in the natural outdoor setting) including "white water rafting" down the hills using tree branches as oars, sailing the seas on a "pirate ship" using the rope climber, operating an "ice cream stand" on the playground benches, and creating "camp fire pits" in the wooded areas of our campus.  The addition of our outdoor tipi serves as a great spot for singing songs and reading stories together.  We have many more adventures to come throughout the year!
