National French Week, November 5–12, brought a wave of excitement, color, and cultural exploration to school this year. French students participated in a variety of activities designed to promote the value of learning French and to celebrate the richness of Francophone culture.

Throughout the week, classrooms buzzed with friendly competition as students took part in MiniManie Musicale, a music-based bracket competition that pitted French classes from across the county against one another. Students listened to contemporary Francophone songs, voted for their favorites, and compared results with other schools—bringing a fun, modern twist to language learning.

The school hallways also reflected the spirit of the celebration. Posters, flyers, and student-designed artwork were displayed throughout the building, highlighting French factoids, cultural traditions, and reasons why learning French can open doors globally.

As the week came to a close, students enjoyed a hands-on cultural experience. Students had a chance to try treats such as madeleines, croissants, and butter biscuits. In addition, students created French-inspired crafts—ranging from shirts to gem-art mandala decorations—allowing them to connect creatively with the culture they studied.

National French Week 2025 proved to be both educational and festive. Through music, art, food, and friendly competition, students deepened their appreciation for French language and culture, making this year’s celebration one to remember.
