Last week, four members of McGraw FFA travelled to the 99th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. The National FFA Convention hosts FFA members from Alaska to the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, and Maine to Hawaii, and every state in between. Along the way, they stopped at Wegmans Organic Farm, Folkland Foods potato farm and french fry facility, Select Sires bovine breeding facility, Dickinson Cattle Company's Longhorn Ranch, Spy Coast Farm Horse Rehabilitation Center, Apache Sprayers manufacturing facility and Churchhill Downs and Kentucky Derby Museum. At the Convention, students attended workshops, talked to industry professionals at the extensive expo center, and attended a session at Lucas Oil Stadium. They were also able to attend the FFA Concert at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and the FFA Rodeo at the Indiana State FairGrounds. The trip was spent learning lots of new things, meeting new people, and making lots of memories!
